    Velo Orange: Polyvalent Low Kicker Frameset

    The Polyvalent is Velo Orange’s “do-it-all” frameset. It is the ideal platform to build a sturdy tourer, practical commuter, comfortable all-day randonneur, or a rugged gravel bike. Tire clearance is generous. With fenders: 650b x 48 or 26 x 2.3” (smooth). Forgoing fenders, the Polyvalent can gobble up 650b x 2.1” or 26x2.3 (knobby). The graceful, swoopy top tube is what we call a Low-Kicker. While especially useful for easily mounting and dismounting with a loaded bike, the lowered top tube also makes the frequent getting on and off the saddle in urban environments more comfortable. Lastly, for those that have limited flexibility, it allows the rider to have a super practical and beautiful bike with modern touches and clearances - something that was, until now, significantly lacking. There are star reinforcements on nearly every braze-on on the frame and fork. The rear brake routing is internal and features super easy installation via a brazed in tube - no more fishing for the housing. The paint is a brilliant Metallic Sage. The rear end of the bike features dedicated rack and fender mounts. The fork has an elegant French-style bend that features braze-ons for a multitude of mounting options including: Rando-style front racks, side-mounted cargo cages, and low-rider pannier racks. Of course, it wouldn't be a Velo Orange frame without proper fender mounts that face the tire to create a perfect fender installation every time.

    Velo Orange: Pass Hunter Frameset

    The Pass Hunter is the speediest of our offerings and is designed for light-packing adventures over mountain passes, Sport Touring, and even the weekend club ride! While this may look like a traditional randonneur, don't let that elegant Cool Blue and nostalgic 80's Burgundy paint and metallic logos fool you. This frameset is packed with modern design and features. The wishbone rear triangle is a Velo Orange custom arrangement. By simplifying the connection points, it makes the rear end light and springy for optimal power transfer. The main triangle uses an oversized 35.0mm downtube and a standard 28.6 top tube. It makes the bike planted, comfortable, and with flex in all the right places. Lastly, the front end. The headtube is tapered to allow the use of aftermarket carbon forks that are available such as Rodeo Labs and Whisky, along with many others that fit into the "utili-fork" genre. The steel fork offered with the frameset has an axle-crown of 393mm with 51mm of rake.

    Velo Orange Neutrino Frameset

    Whether you're a frequent traveler, apartment dweller, multi-modal commuter, or just enjoy a fun N+1 bike, the Neutrino will fit perfectly into your heart. For city and apartment dwellers, you'll get great acceleration for stoplight racing as the wheels spin up quite fast. When you've reached your destination, getting the bike into the building, walking up stairs, and parking it in your apartment is so much easier because the physical length of the bike is greatly reduced. You can much more nimbly negotiate stairwells and since it's warm and cozy inside, you don't have to worry about it getting ripped off overnight.     While the Randonneur Handlebar Bag may look like a traditional bag, it is constructed with modern materials and designs that coalesce into a smart and functional vegan-friendly bag for touring, randonneuring, and commuting. Entirely designed and manufactured in the USA as part of a collaborative effort between Velo Orange and Road Runner Bags of Los Angeles. The outermost fabric is extremely durable and water resistant Cordura. The safety-orange inside material is a waterproof truck tarp liner (the same material that trucking companies use to protect cars during transit). A bright interior allows for easy rummaging even in the most dimly-lit environments. Molle straps adorn the side and rear faces of the bag, allowing you to attach smaller accessory bags as desired. This modular design enables you to build the randonneur bag that best fits your needs. Our current accessory offerings include a Snapper Sack (for compact cameras and SLR lenses) and Cell Phone Pocket (fits virtually all smartphones). Both sold separately. The gusseted top flap features a clear map case for your queue sheet, control card, snacks, keys, wallet, etc. A waterproof zipper keeps it all secure and allows quick access even while riding. The front pocket is also gusseted to easily expand for stuffing and over-stuffing.     Velo Orange Crazy Bar Handlebar

    The VO Crazy Bars are intended for touring on paved and unpaved roads, single and double track, gravel and crushed limestone, and everything in between. The main, swept back section provides excellent control and leverage on rough and tumble surfaces, while the the bullhorn section offers an aero position for smoother roads and headwinds. The junction of the horns and sweeps feels similar to being on the hoods of drop bars and makes for a nice, neutral position. The main bar uses a 22.2mm grip area so MTB grips, levers, and shifters fit. The "horns" are 23.8mm, so road components like bar ends and inverse levers are compatible. The stem clamp area is 31.8mm. Crazy Bars are made from 6061 aluminum and are heat treated. Weight is a reasonable 532g. They are MTB-rated and available in sand-blasted Silver and Noir.     Velo Orange: Seine Bar Handlebar

    The Seine Bar is an offroad-worthy riser bar featuring a super comfortable position with loads of real estate and leverage for long days in and out of the saddle. Straddling the line between touring and full-on MTB, these bars are wide - 780mm to be exact. This width allows you to select climbing lines with ease and navigate bumpy descents without drama. If they're too wide for your trail or your commute, they can still be cut down to really dial in your fit. The rise is a cool 40mm and sweep is 35°.     Velo Orange: Dajia Far Bar Handlebar

    The Dajia Cycleworks Far Bar is a fantastic, lightweight off-road touring bar designed to be used with road components. Unlike dirt drops of years past, these allow you to have a normal hood position in addition to an easy reach to the brake levers from the drops. These bars are compatible with bar-end shifters as well as integrated shifters. The Far Bars have a 21 degrees of flare, drop of 110 mm, and reach of 76 mm. These bars are a little different than road bars in terms of measuring the width. The listed width is measured centre of the hoods to centre of the hoods.     The Rando Bar is designed to be an ultra comfortable all-day handlebar for randonneuring, touring, tandems, as well as mixed terrain riding. It has substantial flare for a wide stance in the drops. The bend is traditional, round, and open. The area behind the hoods is long and flat with loads of real estate to move your hands around. The drops are long so you can slide you hands well back. The centre section is highly polished with a pair of Grand Cru Crests adorning the sides of the clamp area.     Velo Orange: Nouveau Randonneur Bar Handlebar

    With comfortable fit characteristics such as shorter reach, shallow drop, and a mellow backsweep, the Nouveau Randonneur Handlebar is optimally designed for long days and nights for riders using integrated shifters and aero brake levers. The tops are ovalised and swept back ever so slightly from the stem clamp. This makes for a bigger area upon which your hands can rest. A wider palm base means road vibrations and impacts are distributed better and not centralised into a specific spot effectively reducing hand, wrist, and elbow fatigue. Additionally, the sweep lends itself better (than a straight top) to your hands' natural resting position. The ramps are 105mm in length (measured from the centre of the bend to the edge of the ramp). This gives enough real estate for a full hand's worth of a position behind the hood for cruising, but short enough to easily reach the hood for shifting, braking, and out of the saddle efforts. Measuring traditionally (from the centre of the stem clamp to the furthest edge of the brake lever hood mount) the reach is 85mm. The 128mm worth of drop is casual and the 12 degree worth of flare makes for terrific cornering stability and prevents your forearms from hitting the bars during punchy efforts or obstacle negotiation.     Back in the day, racers drilled holes in their chainrings to make them lighter. The weight savings were minimal, but they sure looked cool. Our Drillium Crankset recaptures the look while upgrading to modern manufacturing techniques and tolerances. The arms and rings are cold forged from 7075 aluminium alloy.     Velo Orange: Sabot Pedals

    "For urban use, commuting, touring, and light off-roading, the Sabot definitely delivers the goods." - GravelBike.com Many VO staffers like large pedals, so we wanted to produce a high quality large-platform pedal that would be comfortable even when riding in thin soled shoes. We tested them in minimalist running shoes, leather dress shoes, hiking shoes, and even sandals. Of course this style of pedal is great for urban riding, but we see other uses, too. More and more bike packers, long distance tourists, and adventure cyclists are riding with big BMX style pedals, and these make a more refined alternative. The two-sided platform is a CNC-cut aluminum extrusion. It has loads of real estate to eliminate pressure points and all - approximately 100mm wide and 100mm long. There are 12 replaceable traction pins on each side of the pedal to offer great grip even when wet. We include rounded pins with the pedals so as not to damage street shoes, but they are easily replaced with more aggressive sharp pins. Most existing pedals with large platforms use either loose ball bearings or are designed for BMX or downhill riding and use durable, but stiff, bushings. We designed a chromoly spindle that uses three sealed bearings, two inboard and one outboard. This makes for a very smooth pedal; it feels like a high-end road pedal, and the bearings are easy to replace. Weight is 408g per pair. Uses 6mm hex (Allen wrench) as well as flats (15mm pedal wrench) for easy installation and removal.     Velo Orange: Flat Pack Rack

    The Velo Orange Flat Pack Rack is designed to be super strong and adaptable, allowing it to be neatly mounted on nearly any bike with rack mounts on the fork blades.  Adjustability is accomplished by employing sliding stays and darumas to dial in the position and level of the rack. With so many forks out there riddled with eyelets and holes for low-riders and 3-pack mounts, you can choose where the rack will mount. The platform is known as a “demi-porteur”. Its size is somewhere between a full Porteur and traditional Randonneur front rack. The main benefit to the demi-porteur style is better stabilization for large Randonneur Handlebar Bags as well as better support for baskets and large, bikepacking bags. The uprights are removable and can be interchanged between a decaleur receiver for a Randonneur-style handlebar bag and a tombstone loop for a basket or other luggage. When disassembled, it can fold almost completely flat - which is really useful for travel where space is at a premium.  The Flat Pack Rack mounts to the fork crown using a little do-dad we call a Foot. This beefy mount sits flat against the fork crown and is also mounted to a daruma-style receiver, so it can slide up or down and in and out depending on your clearance needs. The lower portion of the stays are curved in such a way that they can mount flush on the side of your fork's blades. Additionally, the front of the rack features a braze-on for a light mount. The kit includes all the hardware you need to install the rack on most bikes: Four aluminum alloy stays - use two for a weight capacity of 12 lbs or use all four for a weight capacity of up to 17 lbs.     Velo Orange Randonneur Decaleur Kit

    Decaleurs are traditional quick-release mounts for handlebar bags. Unlike some modern bag mounts, they keep the bag low for better handling and for keeping the handlebars clear. The VO fork mount decaleurs are mounted on the fork's steerer tube either below the headset lock nut or within the spacer stack.     This is a stainless steel front rack that is perfect for a handlebar bag, tied-down dry bag, or basket. All Velo Orange racks are made from polished tubular stainless steel, so they will never rust, flake, and can be re-polished to a mirror shine even after years of use. As with our other racks, there are light mounts on the side of the platform. The platform is 20.7 cm long and 10.2 cm wide. The tombstone (backstop) is 9.5 cm tall. If you plan on getting into offroad exploration, we suggest using a toe strap on the bottom of your bag to ensure it says put over the rough stuff. If you are getting a custom frame made, we suggest sending the rack to the builder beforehand. 12lbs (5.4kg) max weight capacity. All mounting hardware is included.     Velo Orange: Randonneur Front Rack with Integrated Decaleur

    This is a stainless steel front rack that is perfect for a handlebar bag. The decaleur (bag mount receiver) is integrated into the rack platform. The advantage to this system is: your bag-decaleur-rack combination is more solid, lighter, and less likely to rattle. Integration is the Holy Grail of Constucteur-style bikes, and we feel that these racks are a big step in that direction. All Velo Orange racks are made from polished tubular stainless steel, so they will never rust, flake, and can be re-polished to a mirror shine even after years of use. As with our other racks, there are mounts for lights. The platform is 20.7 cm long and 10.2 cm wide. Most traditional style handlebar bags work perfectly with this rack (any bag around 20cm tall), but very tall bags may need a longer bag mount. If you plan on getting into offroad exploration, we suggest using a toe strap on the bottom of the bag to ensure it says put over the rough stuff. This rack requires eyelets (not low riders) on the fork blades or the use of p-clamps (included).
