Here we have an immaculate no-holds-barred single-speed Soma Double Cross build. An epitome of bicycle componentry with Phil Wood and Co hubs laced to H+Son Archetype rims fitted with Sim-Works Homage tyres. Phil Wood headset and Bottom Bracket, Shimano GRX crankset. Sim-Works cockpit finished with Fizik Terra tape. This bike is built for fun single-speed adventures future-proofed for gear upgrades in the long-term if required.
The Soma Wolverine “monster cross” frame fills the niche between cyclocross and MTB, making it an ideal frame option to handle the terrain of New Zealand. For our client’s smaller frame size, we used 650B DT Swiss G540 gravel rims with Continential Terra Speed all-road tyres and a subcompact 46/30 crankset from FSA – ideal for us mere mortals just enjoying a bike ride! Dajia Cycle Far Bars flared drops to sail between road and off-road situations and a little bit of candy with lime green jag wire housing. Now Jason’s off to discover the rest of the country.
Taking full advantage of the Tutto’s design, Luke has gone for a racy velodrome style that’s easily enjoyable on the road. Swap out the slick Gatorskins for gravel tyres and straight bars and he might even indulge in some tracklocross! H+ Son SL42 rims with Soma hubs, FSA Vision crankset, Cinelli cockpit, Velo Orange Grand Cru Zeste Cantilevers.
The fast, light, adjustable and manoeuvrable cargo bike. For snappy turns and tiny parking spaces, this is the cargo bike needed for inner-city runabouts. Built as practicable as possible while still retaining that happy upbeat look to stand out from the crowd.
Build for casual road riding, touring and fast commuting was the brief. Sure to stop traffic and steal the show, this cheeky road bike is a take on modern technology combined with a vintage aesthetic.
Polyvalent is a do-it-all frameset by Velo Orange. French for “many forms”, it is the ideal platform to allow you to build a Porteur, Randonneur, Tourer, or a mixed terrain Racer. In this case, we built our client a Randonneur. Built to a very high spec, the customer requested silver components to match the beautiful lilac fame.
